God Remembers His Covenant Promise

God remembers His covenant promise to Noah – and to us in Christ.  And
so:

1. God acts to bring the ark to rest on dry ground – and remembers His
covenant promise to save us in Christ. (Genesis 8:1-5; Luke 1:67-79)

2. God confirms His judgment has passed by the dove and the olive leaf
– and gives us peace with Him in Christ. (Genesis 8:6-12; Matthew
3:13-17)

3. He begins a new creation after the flood – and makes us a new
creation in Christ. (Genesis 8:13-19; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
